Chiloe Island Chiloe is one of the largest islands off the coast of Chile. Wildlife enthusiasts will certainly feel at home here. The north west of Chiloé Island has a great diversity of marine fauna, including blue whales, sei whales, Chilean dolphins and Peale's dolphins; sea lions, marine otters, and Magellanic penguin and Humbold penguins. To the east are homes to a traditional culture of subsistence farmers, fishermen, and craftsmen where you can visit unique wooden churches, and try some chilean seafood dishes. |
